We say it all the time: Progress is not linear.

However, you might be less familiar with: Progress isn't always a new trick.

Sometimes, we find ourselves stuck chasing the next hardest trick or trying to get back to old tricks we've lost along the way. This can be exhausting when progress seems to be slipping through our fingers.

Friendly reminder, progress can be more than just an invert, an Ayesha, or a Superman.

Progress is:

A pointy-er toe.

A straighter leg.

A cleaner exit.

A more controlled entrance.

We get so focused on trying to build the house to keep the big bad wolf out, we forget to make the foundation solid to keep the little piggies safe.

When looking to refine and progress, look to those bricks you laid at the start of your adventure. You might find when we take a step back to straighten our building blocks, we can place more on top with greater ease.
