Kellee Rasor

My name is Kellee and I am a central coast native~ I grew up in Atascadero, spending my free time riding horses, doing gymnastics, dancing, and competing in equestrian vaulting. My life-long love of movement is what has led me to become a registered yoga teacher. In 2015 I completed my 200-hour training through YogaWorks, a comprehensive program focusing on alignment and foundation. I have been certified to teach Pole Fitness through YogaFlirt, The Pole Fitness Studio, CRNP, ElevatED, Vertical Art Athletics and XPERT. I completed my Foundations of Trust teacher training with FeetUp, an aerial yoga teacher training with Natalie Dawn Yoga, and restorative yoga teacher training with Brooke West Yoga. I am a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. My previous teaching experience as an Equestrian Vaulting coach and as a Pole Fitness instructor gives me a unique perspective in my yoga teaching stye. I love the way yoga keeps me feeling grounded; yet elevated. I look forward to sharing my love of yoga and movement with YOU!

About Kellee's FeetUp Yoga Classes

FeetUp Yoga utilizes a “FeetUp Trainer” as a prop to help practitioners deepen a yoga posture or access a posture that that might otherwise not be able to get into safely. Like other common yoga props (i.e.: bolsters, blocks and straps) the FeetUp Trainer supports and helps us modify our yoga practice. Most commonly, the FeetUp Trainer helps us to practice balancing in a headstand without any pressure to the head or neck.

I found FeetUp in 2021 when studios were shut down and we all turned to our home practices and virtual classes. I purchased a trainer for myself and then soon after signed up for a teacher training program so that I could share and inspire others in this fun and unique way to practice yoga!

FeetUp Yoga is not really that different than other yoga classes. Incorporating a FeetUp Trainer into the class is simply another fun and challenging way to practice yoga asana.

I find it is relevant to Pole because it is a great way to build strength, flexibility, trust, and confidence. Many of the postures and actions we practice in FeetUp Yoga Classes are targeting the same muscles we need for pole - - the two are very compatible.

My FeetUp Yoga Classes are open to all levels and genders. I begin each class with a short introduction to the FeetUp trainer, including safety and a demonstration. Then we move into the 1-hour long yoga practice. Each class is different, but I do try to teach classes that are well balanced and meet any particular needs/requests of the students that day. Breathwork, Sun Salutation variations, Inversions, and Savasana are all common components in my classes.

Yes! I also offer a Community FeetUp Yoga Class on the first Friday of each month at 6:30pm. This is a donation-based class where students pay what they can. (Typical donations range from $10-$25.) All donations, including the studio rental, go to purchasing period products donated to ECHO, our local homeless shelter.

Community Classes are a common yoga Studio offering. It is a weekly or monthly class that is offered by donation so that everyone has access to take a class. Often Yoga Instructors volunteer their time in this way to give back to their communities.

Yes, each person in the class will need their own trainer. If you have your own, that is wonderful! If you do not have one, you can register to rent one through the Flip Tease Website for $5 per class. (Trainers are limited, so please register early to insure you get one.) If you are interested in purchasing your own trainer, please reach out to me for details and tips!

What our Students Have to Say About FeetUp Yoga

"I love the combination of traditional poses mixed with the fun of being upside down! The trainer is so much more comfortable than a traditional headstand so I’m able to focus on my core and balance. Kellee is a great instructor who both calms and challenges me."

-Carolyn

"Yoga isn’t my thing, but FeetUp yoga I definitely look forward to."

-

"For me, a yoga class is a little slow to get through and when I see the fun handstand poses online, I get discouraged thinking about how long I’ll have to practice before getting to that level. The Feet Up trainer allowed me to pretty immediately experience being upside down and play with the balance and shapes. It is SO fun while still having the meditative energy of other yoga classes that leave you feeling so relaxed and accomplished. Kellee is also amazing at observing everyone’s experience and being able to give individualized challenges and instruction so you never feel like you’re holding the class back if you can’t figure out one of the poses. Easily one of my favorite classes I’ve taken at the studio."

"I love FeetUp with Kellee! It’s a great class & she’s THE BEST!"
