Frequently Asked Questions

No matter your pole experience, we have a class for you.

If you are just beginning your pole journey, look for our one-off “Introduction Class” or our “Level 1 Series” 6-week course. No experience is needed for these.

If you are unsure about the poles but want to join the studio, look for our non-pole classes such as our Twerk or Sexify classes.

Dropping in from another studio? Any of our Open Pole classes are a great way to get some practice time in during your visit. If you want to drop into one of our Leveled classes, send us a message and we can find the best class for you!

To protect our poles, we ask all jewelry to be removed before class. This includes rings, bracelets, anklets, toe rings, necklaces, and non-silicone watch bands. Please do not use lotions or oils the day of your class.

For clothing, basic athletic wear such as leggings and a tank top are recommended for the first few classes. After that, leg skin is helpful for sticking to the poles. Biker shorts are a great option. We do not recommend wearing socks for your first few classes, you will want to be barefoot.

You will want to bring your own yoga mat, hand towel, and a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol.

Be prepared to have FUN!

If you were added to a waitlist for a class, that means the class is full. If a spot becomes available, the first person on the waitlist will be automatically added to the class and notified via email. This will continue down the list of people waitlisted for every spot that becomes available. If the class remains full and you do not get added from the waitlist, keep an eye out for our next offering of that class.

We hear it all the time. “I’m not flexible or strong enough, and I’ve never taken a dance class before.”

Please know, you don’t need to be anything but willing and eager to try. Our beginner classes are designed for those with no experience. We welcome all ages (18+), shapes, sizes, genders, and fitness levels.

Please remember: everyone was once a beginner.

There is a communal, all genders bathroom available for use, but there are no showers on site.

For the comfortability of all our students, we do not permit any observers in the studio.

For our Static Pole Series Levels 1-5, there is no pole sharing.

Classes are booked one student per pole. In the Main Studio, we book a max of 8 students. In the Red Room, we book a max of 6 students.

Static Level 6 & 7 may have pole sharing, as well as Spin Pole Level 4.

Drop ins are allowed in a series if there is room. To book your spot, find the desired class on the schedule. If the "Drop In" option is not visible, the class is either full or the series hasn't started yet. Drop in slots will open after the full series starts. This is to ensure no drop ins take slots that could be used by students wanting to book the full series.

We operate most of our classes in series formatting. This means you register one time and are enrolled automatically in 3 to 6 classes, depending on the series length.

If a series has open spots, either from absences that day, or open spots when registration closed for the series, drop in spots will become available.

Note: Drop in spots will not open until after a series starts, given there are still any open spots available.

If it’s a single class not in a series, more than 24 hours in advance, and you registered using a package or pass, you can remove yourself from the class under your registration details.

If it’s part of a series, within 24 hours of the class, or paid with card, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

Policies

Flip Tease has a strict late policy. This is for safety as well as consideration for other students.

The door will unlock 15 minutes before every class. We ask that students arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the start of class to check in and prepare.

The door will lock on the dot of the class start time. Late entrance is not permitted.

We do not offer refunds for classes missed due to tardiness.

To ensure that all students have the best experience in our classes, we have a policy regarding consecutive absences. If you miss 3 consecutive classes within a single series, you will be removed from the series with no refund. This helps us manage space, planning, and ensure the integrity of the class and safety for everyone involved.

We understand that life can be unpredictable, so we encourage you to communicate with us in advance if you know you’ll be missing multiple classes. We're always here to help with any questions or concerns!

All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds.

However, we do offer class holds and account credits for most situations. Please contact us to discuss your options.

Makeup Passes are available for six-week series only, see policy for details.

Six-week series are allowed one Makeup Pass. If one or more sessions in a series is missed, you will be eligible for a Makeup Pass.

Our dress code is very relaxed; all bodies are welcome.

We recommend dance cups for our students with external genitalia.

Flip Tease Studio reserves the right to cancel any class or session with 2 hours' notice. Students will always be credited the class cost for these cancellations.

Students will be notified via text message.

Flip Tease is not responsible for missed communications.

We ask that you silence your phone for the duration of your visit to provide a distraction-free environment for all. If you will be dancing, please plan on choosing your songs before class so you are not looking through your phone while others are dancing.

When appropriate, we do allow phones for taking pictures and videos. Ask your instructor before filming or taking photos. Please be considerate and make sure only the intended people are in the shot. From time-to-time, teachers or members of studio staff may request group photos or action shots for advertising and promotional materials on our website and social media pages. It will be clearly stated that photos being taken will be used for promotional purposes. Flip Tease will never tag students in photos. If you do not want your face associated with Flip Tease (we are not offended), we encourage you to turn your face away from the camera, or ask that you choose not to participate.

Flip Tease is an accepting community.

Be kind and support each other. Please allow yourself to enjoy the way our classes make you feel rather than letting yourself get caught up in what you look like. We encourage our students to cheer each other on and have fun. We encourage open communication and appreciate your positive feedback and constructive suggestions.

Always feel free to make modifications during class to honor your body and avoid injury. But, please follow the group as best you can so we can all feed off the combined effort. Please arrive on time for class and avoid leaving class early. Enjoy your class and be grateful for the time you have set aside for yourself.

Code of Conduct

Flip Tease Studio is an accepting community. We strive to provide a safe, welcoming environment for everyone. We require our Code of Conduct to be followed while in the studio.

• Clean your pole and surrounding area after use, giving extra attention to the pole if grip aids were used.

• Avoid entering other's practice space.

• We aim to be a "body neutral" space. This means we accept our bodies as vessels that allow us to do amazing things like pole fitness and dance.

• Remember everyone's goals and pole journeys are different.

• During instructed classes, only practice skills that are taught in that level class.

• Respect your instructors and your role as a student.
